Jenkins and Nanovic Halls
While the footprint of this building is all under one roof, it is considered two interconnected buildings. Jenkins Hall, named in honor of University President Rev. John I. Jenkins, CSC, will be the home of Notre Dame’s new Keough School of Global Affairs and will include the Office of the Dean (Administration), the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies, the Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies, the Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, and the Notre Dame Initiative for Global Development. Nanovic Hall will house the Nanovic Institute for European Studies and the departments of Economics, Political Science and Sociology.
The building contains over 185,000 gross square feet and was designed by HBRA Architects from Chicago, Illinois. The construction manager is Pepper Construction also from Chicago, Illinois.
Construction started on June 1, 2015 and the building will be occupied and in operation for the fall semester of 2017.
The total project budget is $72,000,000.
